Discussion on treating coronary microcirculation dysfunction from the perspective of qi transformation
Coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) has become a focus of research in the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease. Traditional Chinese medicine classifies it as "chest impediment" or "heart pain"
and believes that the pathogenesis of CMD is mostly attributed to heart collateral stasis. The treatment starts from invigorating blood and removing stasis. Qi transformation is the basic form of human metabolism. In broad terms
it refers to all changes and phenomena generated by the interaction of yin and yang in nature. In the narrow sense
it refers to fundamental metabolic processes and biochemical activities and their pathophysiological phenomenon generated during human life activities. Qi transformation is closely related to microvascular endothelial cell function
coronary microcirculatory perfusion
coronary microcirculation hemorheology
and coronary microcirculation inflammatory reaction. Abnormalities in qi transformation can cause changes in hemorheology
inflammatory reaction
endothelial cell dysfunction
etc.
and then lead to CMD. The four patterns of heart blood stasis obstruction (excessive transformation of yang)
qi stagnation due to congealing cold (insufficient transformation of yang)
binding of phlegm and stasis (excessive transformation of yin)
and qi deficiency and blood stasis (insufficient transformation of yin) are most closely related to imbalanced qi transformation
which are discussed from the aspects of clinical manifestations
principles of treatment and medication
with the aim to provide new ideas for clinical prevention and treatment of CMD.
