Objective To discuss the pathogenic factors of hypertension on the base of TCM constitution science.Method The multiple Logistic regression analysis was carried out in hypertension patients in the case group(n=271) and those without hypertension in the control group(n=302) by applying case-control study of clinical epidemiology. The correlative degree between relevant constitutional factors and hypertension was explored.Result There were 3 constitutional factors enclosed in the regression equation
including mild constitution
phlegm-damp constitution and blood-stasis constitution. The partial regression coefficients were -0.602
1.437 and 0.592 respectively. Conclusion The risk factors of hypertension include phlegm-damp constitution and blood-stasis constitution. The phlegm-damp constitution is more important in the onset of hypertension and mild constitution is a protective factor.
