Objective To observe the curative effect of syndrome differentiation and treatment on cervical headache.Methods All patients （n=76） were diagnosed respectively as wind-cold syndrome

qi integration and blood stasis syndrome

phlegm-turbidity obstructing collateral syndrome

kidney deficiency syndrome and syndrome of dual deficiency of qi and blood according to TCM syndrome differentiation.The treatment of acupuncture was given to the patients after local acupoint location and acupoint -location through syndrome differentiation

combining spinal corrective manipulations for reduction of displaced vertebral body.Results Among 76 cases 39 were cured （51.4%）

22 had obvious effects （28.9%）

12 were improved （15.8%）

and 3 had no any effect （3.9%）.The total effective rate was 96.1%.Conclusion The curative effect of syndrome differentiation and treatment on cervical headache is significant.
