Objective To discuss the curative effects of phased comprehensive treatment and traditional combined therapy on lumbar disc herniation (LDH) through randomized controlling and studying in clinic. Methods All patients accorded with the standard (n=120) were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group (each n=60). The treatment group was treated with phased comprehensive treatment and the control group
with traditional combined therapy. The changes of symptoms and signs were recorded after the treatment and the data was analyzed statistically. Results The improvement of Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scale scores and visual analogue pain scores (VAS) had significant difference in the treatment group compared with those in the control group. The comparison in the cure rate and improvement rate was statistically different between two groups. Conclusion The curative effect of phased comprehensive treatment is better than that of traditional combined therapy in LDH treatment.
