To summarize the research status and development trend in the field of famous and veteran Chinese medical physicians.

Methods

The literature collected from CNKI from January 2000 to May 2020 in the research field of senior TCM practitioners were selected as the research object. The information of institutions

authors and keywords of the included literature were analyzed by CiteSpace software.

Results

A total of 2

396 papers were included

and research status of the famous and veteran Chinese medicine was divided into four stages: initial stage

development stage

peak stage and decline stage. The main publishing institutions included Beijing university of Chinese medicine

Henan university of traditional Chinese Medicine

Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine

Heilongjiang University of traditional Chinese medicine

etc. Three core author cooperation networks were formed

The research field of the famous and veteran Chinese medical physicians has developed rapidly in the past 20 years

and a number of high-yielding research teams have been formed. Data mining has been a hot research topic in the past 8 years. It is suggested to integrate more innovative research methods to carry out research.
