Emotional factors are common disease-causing factors in TCM internal medicine. Emotional factors are not only the main causes of depression syndrome
but also its major symptoms. At the same time
emotional factors
as well as its accompanying symptoms
often appear in a variety of TCM internal diseases
especially among those with mental disorders. In this paper
we explored the connotation of emotions
consciousness and other related concepts
and we also analyzed the manifestations of emotional factors
which serve both as the cause
the major symptom and as the co-symptom in diseases with abnormal mental and physical symptoms. Differential diagnosis was made between he related diseases from multiple perspectives and cross-reference to the concepts of psychosomatic diseases
mood disorders and delusional disorders in Western medicine
so as to help students further understand the specific connotations of diseases caused by and manifested as emotional factors in traditional Chinese medicine.
